About Us

Pastor Clifford Manie, and his wife, Brigette, have been ministering to their parishioners, friends, family and various groups for over 17 years.  Together, he and his wife, Brigette, have been partners in pen since their dating years. 

Assigned to the Springfield Gardens SDA Church in 2005, Clifford and Brigette Manie began writing weekly messages of inspiration and encouragement to members.  These weekly thoughts on the pastoral page of the church bulletin have been well received by many within and without the church and have been declared as blessings to the soul.  As these thoughts have traveled to various and sundry places—many times in Pastor Manie’s sermons when he speaks to different audiences, the idea to compile them into a single work was conceived and eventually the book “Words to Grow By” was born.  Words to Grow By is their first published work.  Brigette and Clifford find joy in sharing thoughts on Jesus Christ with each other and delight in also sharing these thoughts with others, hoping that readers and hearers of their words will be blessed as they are.  Words to Grow By adheres to the 3PM focus by inspiring readers not only to focus on their spiritual well being but also on their physical and economic health as well.
